AUP gives Quality Assured Service
American Utility Processing, the sister company of American Utility Metals, based in Akron, Ohio, has successfully achieved the prestigious quality approval to ISO 9001:2000.
At American Utility Processing, and American Utility Metals, we are committed to the needs of our customers. We continue to explore and invest in the things that make our customers more competitive and more efficient. Our biggest investment is always in our relationships with our customers. The adoption of ISO 9001:2000 provides our companies the processes to constantly strive to improve the service that we offer, and so ensure that our customer's expectations are not only met but exceeded.
We approach our products the way that our customers approach their products, with the highest quality at the most competitive price. We take special care to make sure that the efficiency in your production is not compromised. We ensure our quality. We process for the largest producers of aluminum and stainless steel in North America. In anticipation of our customer's needs, we've developed a strong JIT work ethic. Even with tight time constraints, we are able to meet our customer's highest demands.
AUP services a wide range of industries including truck trailer bodies, rail cars, marine, aerospace and the bus & coach industry. In addition to the ISO 9001:2000 certification, AUP also holds the DNV (Marine) approval.
In addition to the existing stretcher leveller capabilities which provides material to be levelled in widths up to 96 inches and lengths uo to 53 feet, a new investment is planned for 2005/2006 for a roller leveller cut to length line. Additionally AUP offers stocking of utility grade stainless steels Cromgard and 3CR12, certified to ASTM A240 UNS S41003, ASME IIa SA240M UNS S41003 and EN 10088-2 1.4003 for American Utility Metals customers.
