AUM is America's premier supplier of 12% Chromium utility grade stainless steels, with sales offices in Baton Rouge, Colorado Springs and Centralia, Washington. In addition to these sales offices we have stock locations right around the country ensuring that we can serve our customers needs in a timely fashion.

Utility stainless steel is the material of choice in a wide range of industries including mining, road and rail transport, electronics packaging, materials handling, waste water treatment, clay and concrete product manufacture and petrochemical, providing proven performance and giving users long life, low maintenace and improved productivity.

As well as our materials sales we pride ourselves on technical expertise, helping customers evaluate their applications to ensure that utility stainless steel is the right choice for them. This expertise goes on to ensure a smooth introduction of the steel into manufacturing with expert advice on fabrication including cutting, forming, welding and painting.

Cromgard  conforms to international specifications ASTM A240 UNS S41003, EN10088-2 1.4003 and EN10028-7 1.4003.

AUM operates quality systems approved to ISO 9001:2000, and in 2004 was part of the 1% of metal services centers in the USA approved to this standard.

In addition to our stockholding our sister company American Utility Processing is based in Akron, Ohio, offering stretcher levelling facilities for the production of bus and coach side skins and body panels for the rail industry.
