Utility stainless steel has a long history in the production of concrete, and concrete and clay products such as cinder blocks.

Utility stainless steels have good corrosion and abrasion resistance making them an excellent choice for many applications within concrete manufacturing facilities. They have found use in hoppers holding sand and gravel, weigh hoppers, curing chambers and hot gas ducting.
